New York – Allen & Overy today announced the U.S. launch of Peerpoint, the firm’s global flexible resourcing platform connecting top lawyers with world-leading organizations.
Peerpoint provides progressive lawyers with an alternative career path and in-house legal teams an alternative solution for high-quality, specialized interim legal support backed by A&O’s resources. The platform appeals to lawyers who want more control and choice in their careers without compromising on the quality of work or clients they engage with. Clients benefit by gaining access to experienced lawyers with sophisticated legal skills on an interim or project basis.
Peerpoint has led the global transformation of legal consulting as a credible career option and flexible resourcing as a valuable offering for clients. Established in 2013, Peerpoint currently comprises more than 350 lawyers across Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and now the U.S., who work across a wide range of specialties within various industries, from banking and capital markets to corporate and M&A. Peerpoint’s U.S. operations will initially operate out of Allen & Overy’s New York office, supporting Allen & Overy’s U.S. clients on domestic and cross-border engagements.
“With the war for legal talent only becoming more competitive in the U.S. and at a time when many lawyers are reflecting on their careers, working patterns, and personal priorities, Peerpoint, as part of Allen & Overy, is excited to offer an alternative career path to meet the needs of a new breed of modern lawyer,” said Amie Davidson, Head of Peerpoint in the U.S. “For those lawyers looking to leave the traditional law firm or in-house legal environment, we offer the ability to chart their own career course, while still having the support and resources of a global law firm.”
U.S. senior partner Tim House said, “Peerpoint is the latest of our Advanced Delivery & Solutions to launch in the U.S. Peerpoint enables us to connect clients in need of interim resources with high-caliber lawyers, all of whom are vetted, endorsed, and supported in their roles by Allen & Overy. It is another example of how we continue to offer increasingly innovative, flexible, and impactful legal solutions to our U.S. clients.”
Allen & Overy is now recruiting mid to senior U.S. based and U.S. qualified lawyers to join its panel of Peerpoint lawyers. For additional information on Peerpoint, including how to apply, please go here.
