We’re proud to be sponsoring the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Australia's In-house Legal National Conference taking place in Brisbane this November.
Peerpoint is a key supporter of the in-house corporate counsel community and we’re proud to be working with the ACC in Australia on their flagship national conference. This year’s event will include a combination of engaging educational sessions (including a panel session hosted by Peerpoint – see below), inspirational keynote speakers, an exhibition, and social and networking events with the Brisbane River as a backdrop.
How to invest in your most valuable asset (your people) through nurturing a strong employment and personal brand.
Panel session on Thursday 17th November 2:05PM to 3.05PM (Boulevard B1) – remember to secure your place early!
From great resignation to great re-imagination, great attrition to great attraction, the consistent thread among what we each are experiencing on the talent front is attracting and retaining the people we need in our respective legal teams.
The influences of recent times, and what we expect to see in the future, are nothing short of complex. However, these influences are surfacing some of the best insights for each of us to develop creative resourcing and retention strategies to generate better professional and personal outcomes for our people and businesses alike. It is also reinforcing the need for employers and those who lead teams to create and maintain a strong brand (both individual and as an organisation) which draws talent in and encourages lawyers develop their own leadership shadow.
Rachel Carter, Head of Peerpoint in Australia, will lead our panel discussion and will be joined by a superb line up of speakers including: Annette Spencer, General Counsel at Barrenjoey; Susan Schneider, Chief Legal & Risk Officer at Virgin Australia; and Niti Nadarajah, Coach (Coaching by Niti), Freelance General Counsel (Legal by Niti), DEI advocate and Peerpoint consultant. The panel will explore their own talent strategies, how they are managing their people amidst the market forces at play and how they are nurturing a strong employment and personal brand.
Some of the points that the panellists will cover include:
- Attracting and retaining legal talent against the backdrop of challenging macro market conditions
- Creative strategies for fulfilling business needs in a talent constrained market
- How they and their businesses are reconsidering the nature of work, how it is done and the impact on their people
- Building and maintaining a strong employment and personal brand
- The role of inclusive leadership, how this generates optimal outcomes for their people and drives culture
- Strategies and tactics to create and embed healthier working environments for their people
