Finding specialized expertise for a large retail bank

During a busy period an experienced consultant delivered a seamless experience and valuable expertise.

The challenge

One of the UK’s largest retail banks required interim legal counsel support in a specialized area of law within its legal, securities and asset management division. The legal team was looking for a lawyer who had the required experience to manage a portfolio of debt capital markets transactions during a busy period and to cover for a member of the team whilst they were on leave.

What we did

After taking a detailed brief from the client we identified an experienced legal consultant with debt capital markets (DCM) knowledge. Having worked for a number of large financial institutions, the Peerpoint consultant was well suited for the role and was able to hit the ground running, alleviating internal team pressure whilst ensuring a seamless experience for internal stakeholders.

The outcome

During the consultant’s final months, the bank’s group corporate treasury team got in touch with a requirement for two consultants specializing in DCM and securitization. Peerpoint was able to connect the bank internally and redeploy the existing consultant within the group corporate treasury team, using their additional securitization expertise. Peerpoint was also able to deploy another top ranking DCM consultant within the bank’s team. For the client, their experience with Peerpoint ensured that they were well equipped during a particularly busy period across a number of internal teams.
