Delivering a time-critical solution

Supporting a global financial institution to seamlessly cover gaps in their team across Dubai and the UK.

The challenge

The client required a banking lawyer, with real estate finance and public sector financing experience, to join its loans and portfolio management team to support the bank’s lending business in Dubai. The legal team were looking for a lawyer who had the experience and skills to manage a portfolio of finance transactions while acting as a key intermediary between senior internal stakeholders and external clients. The need for interim resource support was to cover a period of maternity leave and was time critical for the broader business teams.

What we did

Peerpoint worked closely with the client to understand its needs before finding a consultant who had a deep understanding of the business having done a previous assignment in London with the bank. During the Peerpoint consultant interview process, an internal member of the UK client team applied for the Dubai vacancy as a secondment having previously expressed an interest in undertaking an international assignment.

The outcome

Peerpoint swiftly pivoted its efforts and managed to quickly secure a consultant to backfill the new UK gap, rather than Dubai, role thus making the whole process of filling the original vacancy efficient and streamlined for the client. Through Peerpoint’s flexible approach, we supported the client to fill the initial Dubai vacancy internally while ensuring seamless coverage for the UK team.
