Delivering a hard to find skillset

A leading global financial institution was struggling to find the right expertise for their team.

The challenge

One of the world’s leading global financial institutions required interim legal counsel support in a specialized area of law within its banking division. The legal team was looking for a lawyer who had the experience and skills to manage a portfolio of structured product transactions while acting as a key intermediary between senior stakeholders and external clients. They had been searching for a suitable candidate for several months but had been unable to find someone who met their requirements.

What we did

After taking a detailed brief we quickly identified an experienced legal consultant with extensive structured product and EMEA market knowledge through leveraging our consultant panel. The consultant had previously worked at a global bank and was highly skilled in structuring and negotiating complex financial instruments, thus fitting the client’s requirements.

The outcome

Testament to the Peerpoint consultant’s positive impact and how well they’ve fitted into the team, they have now taken on team management responsibilities to cover a parental leave. For the client, this has meant stability and a smooth continuation within the team for when the manager returns. The client has already extended the consultant’s contract and has peace of mind that their team will be fully supported through into 2024.
